How MyDirector uses TikTok
MyDirector connects to your TikTok account via the official TikTok API, including the Content Posting API. This page fully discloses every scope we request, exactly what data it returns, and precisely how we use it — so you can connect with confidence.
Scopes we request
We request only the scopes we need, and only at the time we need them. Each scope below links directly to its purpose within the app.
video.publishPublish content you approve
We publish the photos and videos you have approved inside MyDirector directly to your TikTok profile. We never post without your prior approval.
user.info.basicConnect your account
We read your TikTok open ID, display name, and avatar to set up and identify your connected account.
user.info.profileRead your profile details
We read your bio, profile link, and verification status to display your connected-account profile inside MyDirector.
user.info.statsShow your analytics
We read your follower, following, like, and video counts to display performance metrics in your analytics dashboard.
video.listRead your public videos
We read the list and metadata of your public TikTok videos to display your content library inside MyDirector.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell, share, or rent your TikTok data to third parties.
- We do not use your TikTok data to train, develop, or improve generalized AI models.
- We only post photos or videos that you have explicitly approved in MyDirector.
- We do not access content from accounts you do not own.
Consent & revocation
We only connect to your TikTok account after you explicitly grant permission via TikTok's official OAuth authorization screen. You can revoke access at any time:
- Inside MyDirector: Go to Settings → Connections, then click Disconnect TikTok.
- In the TikTok app: Go to Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Manage app permissions, find MyDirector AI, and remove its access.
After disconnection, all TikTok-derived data is deleted within 30 days.
Data retention

Compliance
MyDirector AI Inc. complies with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service, the TikTok Content Posting API guidelines, and the TikTok Community Guidelines. Until our integration has passed TikTok's content-posting audit, any content published through the API remains restricted to private visibility, in line with TikTok's requirements.
